The plan
A detailed proposal with fixed pricing — so there are no surprises later.
Next we turn that conversation into a proper proposal: the project brief, your MicroHome plans, and the design concepts to sign off on. Where it helps, we’ll do a site inspection to confirm access and levels.
Pricing is fixed and the timeline is set. You know exactly what you’re getting, what it costs, and when it’ll be ready before anything is built.

Construction
Built in our Melbourne factory — 12 weeks from the start of your build. Build queues vary with demand.
Your home is built indoors, on our engineered chassis. Building in a factory means no weather delays, tighter quality control, and a build window you can plan your life around.
You’re welcome to visit and watch it take shape, and we send regular photo and email updates along the way. Changed your mind on a detail? Depending on the stage, we can often accommodate it.

Delivery & move-in
We deliver, set it level, connect services and hand you the keys.
When it’s ready, licensed transporters deliver your finished MicroHome and manoeuvre it into position. The 10cm low-floor design means we can set it level and stable even on tight, steep or muddy sites.
We help connect your services — or commission your solar/off-grid setup — and hand over a home that’s genuinely ready to live in. One dedicated project manager stays with you from that first chat all the way to move-in day.

A MicroHome gives you all the comforts of a traditional home, except it’s on wheels and registered as a caravan (Victoria only), even though it’s 3.2m wide. MicroHomes Group has a special arrangement with VicRoads that allows us to register MicroHomes as a caravan. So if your council will allow you to stay in a caravan in your area, you can do the same in a MicroHome. How long you can stay, and whether it can be your only home, are decided by your council and your zone — so they have to be confirmed for your address before you commit. We’ll walk you through exactly how it works for your property before you commit.
The questions we hear most.
How long does it take to build?
The build itself takes 12 weeks from the day your build starts. Before that there is a queue, and how long you wait for a slot varies with demand — so the honest answer is 12 weeks of building, plus however long the queue is when you sign. We tell you where you sit in the queue before you commit.
Do you do custom builds?
Yes — every MicroHome is designed to suit you. We work with you on layout, finishes and fit-out, within the practical limits of a home that also has to be road-legal and self-contained.
How is my MicroHome delivered and installed?
We deliver and install your home to the location agreed in your contract, via a licensed transport company. The low-floor design lets us set it level and stable even on tight, steep or muddy sites, then we help connect your services and hand over.
Can I view a MicroHome?
Yes — we usually have at least one finished home in the workshop. Get in touch to book a factory tour and walk through one in person.
