The Backyard Pod is our entry-level line and a category of its own. Where the four Urban homes are 3.2-metre-wide homes on a registered chassis, the Pod is a small fixed structure — under 10m², installed on an adjustable footing system and staying put.

Because a Backyard Pod is a fixed structure with a footprint under 10m², many councils treat something that small as exempt development that sits outside the usual building permit — but whether that exemption actually applies comes down to your council and your zone, so it has to be confirmed for your address before you order.
That is the honest version, and it is deliberately not a flat promise. The people who can tell you for certain are your local council — ask them specifically about a fixed structure under 10m² at your address, before you commit to anything.

The Urban Studio, One Bedroom, Modular and Multispace are 3.2-metre-wide homes built on a registered chassis and delivered as an over-dimension load — full homes, priced accordingly. The Backyard Pod shares none of that: it is smaller, fixed to the ground on an adjustable footing system, and priced as an entry point rather than a home to live in.
If you want a full home, start with the four homes in the range. If you want a room in the backyard, the Pod is the place to start.
