MicroHomes owner reviews: what happened after delivery day

1 October 2026 4 min read

The short answer

The most useful tiny-home reviews explain the site, the timing and the lived experience, not only whether the owner was happy at handover. This page collects what MicroHomes owners have said in their public Google reviews about build quality, delivery on difficult sites and living in the home, quoted exactly as written.

Last updated 1 October 2026

A home can photograph well on delivery day. The better test is how it feels after a winter, how the layout works on an ordinary Tuesday, and how the builder responds when the site or the build gets difficult.

The quotes below are taken from public Google reviews left by MicroHomes owners. They are reproduced exactly as written, with omissions marked by an ellipsis, and the names are as they appear on Google. You can read the same words there.

What owners mention most

ThemeWhat an owner wrote
Build quality”The unit was very well built with quality fit out inside.” — Mike McAuley
Timing and budget”… the home was delivered on budget and within the stated time frame.” — Anne Altmann
Difficult sites”Our site was challenging as it was steep and muddy, but they installed it perfectly.” — Mike McAuley
Tight access”… a tight installation location proved no issue.” — Anne Altmann
Layout and comfort”This extra space has made a HUGE difference in how comfortable and liveable our home feels and functions.” — Daniel Kloppenborg

A steep and muddy site

The brief was straightforward; the site was not. Mike McAuley’s block was steep and wet, which makes access and final positioning the hard part of the job.

MicroHomes built and delivered the unit on time and on budget. Our site was challenging as it was steep and muddy, but they installed it perfectly. The unit was very well built with quality fit out inside. I highly recommend MicroHomes, a trustworthy supplier.

— Mike McAuley

Site access is where a delivery plan is tested. If your block looks like this one, the delivery and site access checklist lists what to photograph and measure first.

A tight installation location

I can sincerely recommend MicroHome groups who built our beautiful 8 metre studio. Hayden was a pleasure to deal with, always attentive and the home was delivered on budget and within the stated time frame. In addition, a tight installation location proved no issue.

— Anne Altmann

Anne’s review describes an 8 metre studio; today’s Urban Studio is 6.0 × 3.2m, so check the current range for sizes.

Living in the width

A plan can show dimensions, but an owner can tell you what the width changed. Daniel Kloppenborg has been living in his MicroHome full-time for about a year and a half at the time of his review.

We’ve been living full-time in our house from Micro Homes Group for a year and a half now, and we couldn’t be happier! … This extra space has made a HUGE difference in how comfortable and liveable our home feels and functions…

— Daniel Kloppenborg

If width is what you are weighing up, see 3.2m vs 2.4m: what the extra width changes.
